GMC hints at 2017 Sierra Denali 2500HD appearance.

As anyone with an interest in the automotive market knows, teaser images are all a part of the game. This time around, GMC is giving us a glimpse of the 2017 Sierra Denali 2500HD. While details are still lacking, a picture is worth a thousand words but we’ll try to keep it closer to 200.

To start things off, the 2017 Sierra Denali 2500HD is still a luxurious heavy-duty pickup truck that works hard in style. The hood features a new chrome-trimmed scoop that seems entirely functional. The grille isn’t much to go on but it does indicate it could house something big. Those two features give way to confirming one of the biggest rumors surrounding General Motors.

Rumor has it that General Motors is looking to create a larger, more powerful diesel engine for the 2017 model year. If the whispers are true, that engine could offer as much as 900 lb-ft of torque. If that sounds far-fetched, think again. The Ford F-250 Super Duty is looking to offer 860 lb-ft of torque, paving the way for GM to offer some clear, heavy-duty competition.

We here at Paul Sur Buick GMC can’t wait for the arrival of the 2017 Sierra Denali 2500HD!

Recording-Breaking Buick Goes to Auction

Record Breaking Buick Goes to Auction

Buick isn’t the first brand that comes to mind when one thinks of a record-breaking land speed holder. As it turns out a Buick did set the land speed record in 2013, but that’s not what’s most impressive. The model that set the record was a 1952 Buick Super Riviera.

Record-Breaking Buick Goes to Auction

The 1952 Buick Super Riviera is a six-time class champion and set the land speed record of 165.735 mph in 2013, more than 60 years after it rolled off the line. Now, a Super Riviera is heading to auction with a whole new look.

Racer Jeff Brock found the old Buick in an abandoned sawmill in 2008. A sculptor by trade, he created a bare metal racer that was both aggressive and fast. Christened “Bombshell Betty,” the Buick boasts a unique look that maintains its time-period details. Getting your hands on this speed demon won’t be easy. It currently has an asking price of $195,000.

To put interest over the top, the listing also features the car’s 2012 record run. The very next year, the Buick outdid itself and set a new record.

It’s not too often this crazy of a car pops up on the radar and with a limited number of 1952 Buick Super Rivieras left, enthusiasts are sure to be all over it.

Here at Paul Sur Buick GMC, we’re more than impressed that such an old car is setting records today!
