Sierra and Canyon Models
The Canyon and Sierra were recently ranked among the highest in the resale value awards according to an annual survey performed by Kelley Blue Book (KBB). KBB is a third-party vehicle evaluation automotive research company recognized by consumers and automakers worldwide.
According to GMC, this is the second year in a row that the Canyon and Sierra were voted to the top of resale value, retaining the highest percentage of their original price over the first five years of ownership. Not only that, but Canyon and Sierra sales were also up to near-record highs this year.
“A vehicle’s resale value is of critical importance, because a vehicle with high resale value will typically be less expensive to own over time than a similar vehicle with poorer resale value,” said Jack R. Nerad, executive editorial director and executive market analyst for Kelley Blue Book’s KBB.com.
The Canyon and Sierra resale value awards demonstrate the incredible quality of GMC models. The Canyon also won the Cars.com Midsize Pickup Challenge in its segment, as well as the Best of the Best Truck for 2015 award from Autoweek and the 10 Best Interior for 2015 award from WardsAuto.

The GMC Sierra HD lineup was already new and improved from the 2015 model year and now the manufacturer is looking to spoil drivers. The 2016 GMC Sierra HD lineup will feature more colors and headlights, as well as new technology. With the new tech, hauling will be much easier than in previous years.
New technology includes the impressive and helpful Active Steering Assist. Available on double cab and crew cab models, this power steering system uses electronic controls to improve traction and stability.
Active Steering Assist will also improve the pickup’s responsiveness and feel of steering. Not available on the base or regular cab models, you’ll have to step up a model to get this new tech.
A new Gooseneck/Fifth Wheel Trailering Prep Package is also available on the 2016 GMC Sierra HD. It will give the pickup more capability to tow larger trailers than ever before.
New HID (High-intensity Discharge) projector-beam headlights come standard on all models. It features GMC’s LED lighting at no extra cost.
New exterior colors include Crimson Red Tintcoat, Cardinal Red, Deep Garnet Metallic, and Mahogany Metallic.

2015 GMC Canyon handles everything you throw at it!
When General Motors first introduced the GMC Canyon, it expected for there to be a high demand—and it looks like the American carmaker was right. Since its introduction earlier this year, the GMC Canyon sales have quickly risen, making demand higher than ever—and causing a bit of a problem for GM. The American carmaker recently announced that it will be increasing its midsize pickup truck production at the Wentzville Assembly plant in Missouri, to keep up with the high demand.
General Motors is planning on adding as many as 1,000 more workers to the plant’s Saturday and Sunday shifts, helping create an additional 2,000 pickup trucks a month. This adjustment, along with reducing break time for employees, will make about 3,500 more vehicles a year.
So far, GM has delivered a combined 35,720 units of the Chevrolet Colorado and GMC Canyon from January through April alone. To find out why so many consumers are choosing to purchase the GMC Canyon, stop in to Paul Sur Buick GMC today!
